For individuals who wish to gain MSP accreditation on the structured programme management method from the Office of Government Commerce, following the new qualification structure, syllabus and exam format, launched in September 2007.
This course introduces the MSP methodology and provides coaching and guidance to enable participants to sit the examinations. Familiarity with the MSP processes, techniques and vocabulary, understanding their value and the ability to implement them are all gained by the end of the course. There are three levels of accreditation: Foundation, Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner. This course covers the Foundation and Practitioner syllabus. Due to the intensity of learning, the programme has been designed to meet the preferred learning styles of different individuals, combining class room based events with distance learning modules. The syllabus is covered in the first three days, enabling the Foundation exam – a multiple-choice format – to be taken at the end of day three. To allow time to review and revise the material before the final exam, the course re-convenes for two days, a week later, aimed specifically at preparing for, and sitting the new multi-choice based Practitioner exam.
