The MSc in Managing Major
Projects is run in conjunction with
the National Centre for Project Management at
Middlesex University.
The tutors on the MSc in Managing Major Projects and Programmes are all practicing
project managers, who provide consultancy support
to major commercial and government agencies.
They will share their experience with you so
you can see how the tools and techniques can
be applied.
Short modules provide an environment for group
activities and learning. Distance learning extends
your understanding within the context of your
ownwork environment. Assessment is based solely
on work-based assignments, including a project
report showing how you can apply the disciplines
on your own projects.
Entry requirements
Ideally you will possess a good Honours degree
and three years experience in managing small
to medium sized complex projects. Alternatively,
you will have substantial management experience.
Assessment
Assessment is based on a series of work-based
assignments that includes a project report.
You are expected to make use of the tools, techniques
and disciplines as soon as you can, within your
own projects. ‘Learn-do-reflect’ is the fundamental
mantra of the Postgraduate Certificate in Managing
Major Projects.
