Project management

CITI’s consultants have a wealth of experience in project management in a wide variety of sectors, and this is reflected in the experience and ‘know-how’ they are able to bring to bear on client projects. Levels of support to, and development of, client project managers varies according to their need, but our value-add remains a constant.

The persistently low ‘success’ rate of projects is indicative of the innately complex environments in which they take place. CITI consultants are both skilled and practised in many vital areas of activity assisting our clients to achieve the desired project success. Start-up and initiation, implementation and benefit realisation are just two of the areas laden with difficulty. CITI’s ‘hourglass’ and BIP (Benefit-Impact-Product) mapping workshops are extremely effective in establishing project clarity and implementation requirements, respectively. Other important areas of activity are no less well supported by the available tools, methods and techniques.

Supporting and developing the project management community may be as important as assisting with individual projects. CITI’s expertise in assessing training needs, (developmental) profiling, coaching of project managers, and building of project management communities and development frameworks has enabled its clients to develop corporate project management capability that is ‘fit for purpose’ and 'fit for the future'.
